Infants – For our RE topic on Harvest, please can children in Infants bring in a food packet or label which details where the food is from. We are trying to collect examples from around the world. Please bring in before next Tuesday if possible. Thank you. 

Beginning of the School day…

Just a reminder that our doors are open from 8.50am with registration at 9am. Early Morning Club runs from 8.20am – 8.50am and costs £2 per child (£1.50 siblings)

If children are coming into School before 8.50am, they will be charged for Early Morning Club.

No dogs on School grounds

As lovely as your dogs are, please can we ask that you don’t bring your dog onto the School grounds. ‘No dogs on school grounds’ policies are designed for the safety of children and to protect children with allergies. Plus, there’s nothing worse than dog poo in the playground!

Macmillan Coffee Morning

WE NEED CAKE DONATIONS PLEASE!!

Join us as we take part in the World’s biggest Coffee Morning on Friday 29^th September. This is Macmillan’s largest fundraising event for people facing cancer. Please help us to raise money for this wonderful charity, who provide information & support to patients & their families who are affected by cancer.

We will be serving tea, coffee and juice along with yummy cakes from 9.30am – 11am – ALL WELCOME

Any parent help and cake donations for this event would be much appreciated 😊

Library

Library sessions have restarted and will take place every Monday afternoon. Children may choose a book each week to take home to read and return it the following Monday to swap for a new one. Please help children to remember to bring in their library books each Monday. Any questions, please speak to your child’s teacher or Hannah in the office.

Free snacks for Juniors

From Monday 25^th September, the PTA will be providing a free healthy snack to the Juniors on a trial basis. Infants receive a snack that is paid for centrally by Government, but the Juniors do not. The PTA would like to commit to providing this so that all children in school have access to a mid-morning healthy snack. However, we need your help. The cost annually of providing this is nearly £1,300 so we need to plan how to fund this commitment. We therefore ask you to sign up to easyfundraising (see attached flyer). It doesn’t cost you anything – the brands where you shop donate to our cause. If every parent/guardian signed up and used easyfundraising then we will soon raise enough money to continue the trial indefinitely. There are over 7,000 brands signed up to easyfundraising so whether you’re doing the weekly online grocery shop, some bits and bobs from Amazon, or even your summer holiday, there’ll be a brand waiting to donate to us. Thank you in advance for your support.

Young Voices – Manchester Arena – 5^th February 2024 

We are organising an exciting opportunity for the Year 5 and 6 Junior children to take part in the UK’s biggest school’s concert.  It is on Monday 5^th February 2024 at the Manchester AO Arena.  Letters were sent home with your child yesterday, please return reply slip by Monday.

Harvest Appeal

As a school we would like to collect items to donate over the next few weeks in school. If you are able to donate then please choose an item from the list and send it into school. We will collate all donated items at our Harvest Service on Wednesday 4^th October at 2.45pm (All are welcome)
