Harvest Appeal

As part of our harvest learning we are supporting the Morecambe Bay Food Bank who are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger in our local area and across the UK.

As a school we would like to collect items to donate over the next few weeks in school. If you are able to donate then please choose an item from the list and send it into school. We will collate all donated items at our Harvest Service on Wednesday 4th October at 2.45pm (All are welcome)

Examples of items to donate…..

Large tins of vegetables (eg. carrots, sweetcorn)

Sponge puddings

Custard

Crisps

Microwave rice

Chocolate bars

Shower gel

biscuits

Tinned tuna

Parent Praise assembly

Back by popular demand is the Parent Praise assembly, we have decided to do this monthly on alternate Thursdays and Fridays to try and allow as many parents to come as possible. We tend to have an Infant focus on the Thursday assemblies and a Junior focus on the Fridays, although all are welcome to both.

We are looking forward to getting these going again and seeing you all in school, the first one will be on Friday 13th October at 3pm in the School Hall.

Infant Reading Rewards

Reading helps your child’s wellbeing, develops imagination and has educational benefits too. Just a few minutes a day can have a big impact on children of all ages. In Infants, we are trying to encourage daily reading at home, if your child reads 4 times a week, they are awarded with a sticker and if they manage 5 times a week, they get a treat from the Lucky Dip Bag! Thankyou for your support with this.

Early Morning Club

Occasionally we all need those extra 10 minutes in the morning, did you know that we offer an Early Morning Club, so you can drop and go a little earlier?

We offer an 8.20am – 8.50am drop off service costing £2.00 which is payable via your Schoolmoney account.  You do not need to book, just turn up and drop off at the Junior door accessed via the ramp from the playground.

The children will join in with activities but are not provided with breakfast, at 8.50am they will go into their class for the start of the day.

Nasal Flu consent forms

The children will be having their nasal flu sprays at school on Thursday 30th November. Please ensure that you have completed the online consent form for both consent / no consent giving reasons.

Macmillan Coffee Morning
