What’s involved? A PTA is a Parent Teacher Association, an organisation with a mission to make the school a better place for children to learn. Our PTA brings together parents, teachers and children to raise funds and strengthen the school community. Money raised is usually spent on things that the school budget does not cover e.g. coaches for trips, Christmas panto, picnic tables, play equipment, reading books and activity days.
Why Join? There are many reasons why you should join our PTA. From making new friends and getting to know the school environment, through to helping raise much needed funds and making a difference to the children and school community.
There is no expectation on any parent volunteer, any amount of time you can give to the PTA will always be well received. We make it clear that parents can come to our meetings to just listen and learn, or they can take a more active role if they want to, there are no set expectations.
ALL parents, guardians and friends of school are invited to join us in the Royal Oak on Monday 11th September at 7.30pm to discuss ideas for the new academic year.
Road Resurfacing Works
From Tuesday 12th – Friday 15th September the council will be resurfacing Station Road – Main Street to Wennington Road. While access will be maintained throughout, there may be some delays.
Uniform
Please wear full school uniform every day, and remember to arrive in school shoes, with different footwear to change into at break and lunch times (eg trainers, wellies) – these can be left in school in your shoe rack as before.
If you are needing some more uniform, please come and have a look in our preloved uniform boxes in the porch, there are some excellent quality items available in all different sizes which just require a donation to the PTA.
