14th July
This will be the last email for this academic year, we would like to thank you all for your support this year and we look forward to welcoming our new starters in September.
We hope you have a wonderful summer break, our last day in school is Wednesday and we will finish at the normal time of 3.30pm.
Goodbyes. We wish all our year 6 pupils well as they move on to the next stage of their education. Jessica and Maisie are going to LGGS, Toby to LRGS, Noah to Carnforth High and Elliott, Antoni, Joshua, Dexter, Billy, Joey, Noah and Jack to QES. We hope they will keep in touch and let us know how they are getting on.
Sports Day
Thank you to everyone who came and supported our Sports Day, unfortunately the weather meant that we had to move it to Thursday with short notice but we didn’t want to completely cancel Sports Day this year which was the other alternative! Huge thanks to all the children, parents and helpers who made the day such a success and well done to Castle for winning overall.
Summer Fair
Thank you to everyone who has made cakes and donated raffle prizes for the Summer Fair, unfortunately the weather has beaten us this year with our original plans, but I’m sure our indoor event will be a huge success.
Blue Peter Badge Achievement
Huge well done to Florrie in Year 3, she has won an orange Blue Peter competition badge by gaining a place in the top 30 runners up (out of 8000 entries) in their story writing competition. She has to send in her photo and may feature on their badge wall on TV. Keep an eye out for her when you are watching the show.
Library Books and Friday Bags
Please can ALL library books and Friday Bags be returned to school by MONDAY then we can make sure we have reading books ready for the new school year.
Early Morning Club – Reminder
Just a reminder that Early Morning Club opens at 8.20am, we have had a couple of children this week dropped off and left by parents before Early Morning Club starts! We will be keeping an eye on this and getting in touch with parents who are causing this safeguarding concern.
School Money
Please can I ask that you settle your School Money balance BEFORE we finish for the summer holidays. This can be done via the app or by bringing cash into the office.
School Uniform
If you are needing some more uniform, please come and have a look in our preloved uniform boxes in the porch, there are some excellent quality items available in all different sizes which just require a donation to the PTA. If you would prefer to buy new, please visit www.ualonline.co.uk and click on the Lancaster shop to find our school page.
