24th March
Infant trip to the Fire Station
Infants had a great time at Hornby Fire Station this week, learning about the role of a firefighter and the equipment they use. They each had a try at using a real firefighter’s hose! They are going to explore how Firefighting was different at the time of the Great Fire of London.
Easter Egg decorating!
On Wednesday we had a visit from Rachel and Lucy from our PTA who helped all the children decorate their boiled eggs in preparation for the Easter Fair on Saturday. The eggs look fantastic with lots of glitter, paint, feathers being used! We will upload some photos onto our School Facebook page for you to have a look at.
Easter Rock Hunt and Fair
Hopefully you will be able to join us TOMORROW for an afternoon of rock hunting, egg rolling and cakes!!
As always, any help with manning the cake stall, serving tea and coffee, overseeing egg-rolling activities and selling raffle tickets would be massively appreciated. This will be an eggcellent afternoon!
**Please don’t park in the Royal Oak car park for this event as they are very busy on Saturday afternoon, please use the School car park, lay-by and neighbouring streets**
Yoga and Mindfulness ASC – Tuesdays
Starting on Tuesday 18th April, these sessions are designed to incorporate elements of yoga, relaxation and mindfulness in a fun way. We will practise mindfulness through movement, breathing techniques, yoga, games, positive affirmations, gratitude practice, music and art. Your child will learn valuable skills to build confidence and learn techniques to manage anxiety and stress. These sessions will run from 3.30pm – 4.30pm for 6 weeks and the cost will be £12.00. Please let Hannah in the office know if your child would like a place.
