Parents Meetings
Teaching staff will be available from 3:45pm – 6:45pm on Tuesday 11th October for parents to come and look at children’s work and talk informally with teachers in school. There are time sheets on the table in the foyer for you to choose your preferred time.
Can you help?
As a school, we are committed to helping children develop their reading skills and frequent practise really helps with this. Are there any parents who would be willing to help in school with hearing children read? Please let us know… we would really appreciate your time and help with this.
Swimming after D&V
Due to a lot of children being off ill over the last week with sickness and diarrhoea, we are just wanting to send a reminder to all schools and parents that children are not allowed to swim until 2 weeks after the
symptoms have stopped. This is due to the possibility of the virus sitting in the pool water and super spreading to other children and customers using the pool in and after the water has been affected.

Staff changes
Sadly, we will be saying goodbye to Mrs Cook at half term as she moves on to work for a local charity.
Parents will join with us in thanking Mrs Cook for her time at school and the fantastic work that she has done. She originally came to school on a short-term contract six years ago!
We are advertising her post and having a small move around of staff, including Mrs Shaw teaching the Lower Juniors, until we can appoint a replacement for the rest of this academic year.
If you would like to donate to a leaving present for Mrs Cook please send contributions to the office.

Thank you to everyone who came along to our Family Race Night last Friday! It was a lovely evening and we hope you had fun! The final figures still need working out but it’s looking like we raised approximately £400 which is amazing!! Thank you so much to everyone who supported the event, through horse and race sponsorship as well as on the night. Thank you also to everyone who helped out on the night and helped set up after school and clear away at the end of the night. A great team effort!
We will be holding the PTA AGM after half term, details to follow. We are looking for a Secretary and Treasurer and also general committee members to help out with the planning and running of events.
