30th April 2021
Hello Everyone.
We have had another good week in school with high attendance and the children getting on with their learning. Please do send children with appropriate clothing; we have turned the heating off and have the windows open for ventilation, so it has been quite cold in school this week.
Apologies for the incorrect date last week, we do have a half-term holiday! We return to school on Monday 7th June after a week off.
Upper junior children are looking forward to their day in the outdoors, climbing at Hutton Roof on Monday 10th May. A detailed information sheet will be sent next Friday; the main things they will need are a packed lunch in a rucksack and layers of warm clothing. The day will be led by Instructors from Tower Wood Outdoor Centre, along with Mr Stafford-Roberts and Miss Yost.
We were all saddened to hear the news of the death of Liz Allison on Wednesday this week. She was a loyal supporter of school over many years, coming in on a weekly basis to run the library and lead assemblies. The Governing Body benefitted from her advice and experience over a number of years too. Many of the children will remember her and probably many parents too. Our thoughts are with her family and all her many friends at this sad time.
Let’s hope the sun shines this weekend and we can all enjoy the bank holiday.
