27th November

It is great to have the juniors back today and we are very pleased with the support we have had from parents during isolation.  Lots of the children have done some really lovely work at home, they should be very proud of their efforts.

The attendance in the infant class during this period of isolation and throughout this term has been fantastic, again thank you parents for this.

Reception children are making Gingerbread People today, we are hoping they turn out well, so they can be shared with other children and the grown-ups!

Christmas Celebrations.  Christmas in school will be a little different this year!

We will be watching an interactive virtual pantomime, having Christmas lunch, a Christmas Party and a Christmas Activity Day.  Unfortunately, due to time constraints and bubbles, we will not be doing a Nativity this year, but we are planning a performance in the summer term.

Christmas lunch will be on Wednesday 9th December, if your child doesn’t normally have dinners on a Wednesday but would like to join this, please pop a note to this effect in the Friday bag or email the School Office. The charge will be £2.30.

We will have a post box for children who wish to send Christmas Cards. The box will be open from Monday 7th to Friday 11th December for them to post their cards.  We will then empty the box just before the end of term and distribute the cards.

Flu Nasal Sprays – the nurses will be coming into school on Tuesday 1st December to immunise all pupils who signed up for the vaccine.

PTA News

In the Friday bag today, you will find an envelope containing 5 raffle tickets for each child you have in school.  If you could sell these to family and friends (or buy them yourself of course!) we would be very grateful.  Tickets cost £1 each.  Please return money and completed ticket stubs in the envelope provided on Monday.  If you would like more tickets, please add a note in your envelope, or let Mrs Sharpe or Michelle know.

The items ordered from the children’s Christmas Designs have been arriving in various package over the week, we hope everything has arrived! Everything we have is being sent home today, if anything is missing please let Mrs Sharpe know.

PTA Mufti Day – Friday 4th December. Pupils are invited to come to school in their own clothes in return for a donation of a raffle prize.  It could be a box of chocolates or biscuits, a bottle of something alcoholic or a Christmas pudding, which could go into one of the hampers.  Please leave your donation in the school entrance on the morning.
