13th November

Upper junior children have enjoyed their work around Remembrance this week.  The year 6 pupils walked down to the War Memorial on Wednesday at 11am to observe the 2 minutes silence.  A couple of them then read the poems they had written about Remembrance to the people gathered.

Infants – On Monday 16th November infants will be visiting Borwick Outdoor Centre to enjoy some outdoor activities.  They will all need a packed lunch and a complete change of clothes, please have a read of the information sheet sent home last week for more detail.  They will return to school by 4:45pm at the end of the day.

Junior Swimming – swimming will continue on Wednesdays for the next three weeks.  We trialled pick up from the pool this week, but were disappointed that this didn’t go as smoothly as we had hoped.  From next week we will walk all the children back to school for 3:30pm and parents are asked to pick up from the playground.

Parent Questionnaire –thank you to everyone who has returned the questionnaire, please could any outstanding ones be sent in on Monday 16th November.   We really appreciate your feedback.

Christmas Cards – we have had lots of Christmas Cards orders.  If anyone would still like to order Monday 16th is really the final day!

Mad Science – junior children enjoyed a zoom assembly by Mad Science on Thursday 5th November.  An email was sent home after the event with a link for parents to register for sessions at home that all the family can join in with.
