Microsoft OneDrive – included in all Friday bags today is a letter on school headed paper explaining how children will be able to access their work if they have to go into isolation or we have a full school lockdown.  Please do have a read and check that this works for you.

Tower Wood – We have our first day visit of the school year next week.  The junior pupils are all off for an adventure at Tower Wood.  There is no charge for these trips, school covers the cost of both transport and instructors.  Children should wear their own warm clothes, outdoor shoes or boots and will need a waterproof coat.  Waterproof trousers would also be useful if they have them.  Pupils will require a packed lunch on the day and will not be back in school until about 5:30pm.  An information sheet is included in the Friday bag today.

QES Information for Year 6 pupils and parents.  QES are aware that parents are asking about tours and there may be some confusions. They have sent us this information by email.

We are making a film but it is taking a little longer than anticipated and even when it is completed I’m afraid anything we produce will be a pale imitation of what it is like to walk around the school and see our children and staff enjoying lessons and getting on with the vibrant business of the day.  Usually we give over 150 tours and have two Open Evenings with over 400 parents in attendance each night, but clearly, we couldn’t do these and I know that we feel we missed this opportunity to speak directly to parents and children.

So, whilst a film is in the background, we have updated our website here  admissions2021.  In this section we have added our prospectus and I have tried to answer the questions most frequently asked when we do tours.  There are also several ways a parent can communicate with us directly if they would like – whether that’s wanting a phone call or simply emailing a query or a Teams chat.

Boxes of Hope – We are supporting the Boxes of Hope Charity again this year; a leaflet about this shoebox charity is included as an attachment with this newsletter.  It is a local charity that visits Romania each year to distribute the gift filled boxes to children.  Please read the leaflet for further details and ideas of what to include.  The boxes will be collected from school early in November, so please aim to have them here by Friday 6th November, remembering to include the £2 donation.

Reception New Starter Photos – families who ordered a copy of the photograph taken for the Lancaster Guardian/Morecambe Visitor will find them in the Friday bag today.
