Welcome back to school – School will be returning to ‘normal’ from Wednesday 2nd September, with some Covid secure measures in place, including individual drop off and pick up times for families, these will be text to you later today. Early Morning Cover will be available from 8:20am on Wednesday 2nd September, please enter up the ramp from the playground. Texted times do not apply if you are using Early Morning Cover or Hornby Day Nursery for after school care.
Covid Secure Measures – We will be following the latest Government guidance and have an up to date risk assessment in place. Juniors will be continue to be separated into upper and lowers for certain parts of the day, but will been seen as just one class, as will Infants. The Government has talked a lot about bubbles and we will try to keep Infants and Juniors separate, but school will operate as one bubble. Specific measures in place will be –
social distancing please abide by the 1m + social distancing guidance, please avoid unnecessary waiting in the playground, arriving at your specific time to drop off and collect.
specific pick up and drop off times, Please be prompt at pick up and drop off to avoid congestion in the playground and carpark area.
classes using different doors to enter school, these have been sent via text
regular cleaning during the day,
promote more regular hand cleaning and good respiratory hygiene – ‘catch it, bin it, kill it’.

Uniform – children should come to school in clean school uniform each day, if this is not possible then sensible alternatives will be acceptable. They will also need a PE kit in school.
Lunches – we are returning to paid school meals, Infants will still receive the universal free school meal. The School Kitchen will be offering a packed lunch for the first three days and will return to the usual hot meals from Monday 7th September. Children will be able to order their lunch on the first day. If parents want to send in their own packed lunch, it needs to be in an easily cleaned container that can be wiped on the outside.
Staffing – our usual staff will be returning to school following the summer break, we look forward to welcoming back Mrs Trotman, who will teacher on Thursdays this year. Mrs Cottam will be working Monday to Wednesday and Mrs Shaw Thursday and Friday.
Reception Starters – we will be welcoming our reception children on Monday 7th September, when they will join us for the mornings. They will be invited to stay for lunch on Thursday and Friday of that week and will start full time the following Monday 14th September.

Dear Parents
Hope you have all had a Pleasant Summer.
From Wednesday 2nd September wrap around care will commence again at nursery before and after school. We will be dropping off the children in our care at 9.00am and collecting them at 3.30pm.
If you require a wrap around place, please give me a ring, or drop me an email and we can discuss your wrap around care requirements.
For our existing families, your regular booking will commence from Wednesday when school reopens. If you want to cancel or put your place on hold please can you get in touch and we can arrange this for you.
