Whole School Photo.
We managed to sneak outside between the showers yesterday and have a whole school photo taken. A tiny pixels card is included in all Friday bags today giving details of the website to use to place your order.
Parents Help Morning – Sat 15th June.
Parent help would be greatly appreciated at school on Saturday 15th June, with some tidying and general maintenance jobs. We intend to start from 9:30am onwards and be finished by 12noon. Well behaved, helpful children are always welcome to come along too! The plan is to sweep around the playground, do some general weeding and a bit of painting in the hall. If you have yard brooms, jet washers or hosepipes please bring them along.
Juniors Big Sing- Monday 17th June
All junior pupils are going to Sedbergh Prep School, Casterton on Monday 17th June to join other local schools in the Big Sing. The event lasts all day, so all pupils will need a packed lunch. Parents are invited to come to listen to the performance at 2:15pm. An information sheet giving more details is included in the Friday bag today. Pupils will need to be in school for 8:45am, so we can set off promptly to pick up Leck pupils.
Infant Forest School – Monday 17th June
Infant pupils will spend the day at Leck on Monday 17th June with Lecks infant children, continuing their Forest School activities. They will all need a packed lunch in a named carrier bag that they can carry themselves. An information sheet giving more details is included in the Friday bag today. Pupils will need to be in school for 8:45am as they are travelling with the juniors to Leck.
Shakespeare Day – Tuesday 18th June.
Mrs Cottam has organised for a theatre group to come into school on Tuesday 18th June to deliver a Shakespeare Day for pupils in years 5 and 6; the morning workshop will be on Macbeth and the afternoon workshop on A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Three other local schools will be joining us for the day. Cooky will provide a picnic lunch for all our children on this day; if anyone who doesn’t normally have lunches would like to join this, please just pop a note in the Friday bag, the charge will be £2.30
Years 5 & 6 Rugby –Wednesday 20th June.
All children in years 5 & 6 are going to Kirkby Lonsdale Rugby Club on Wednesday 20th June. The event is fully organised by the Rugby Club and will be attended by other local schools as well. All children attending will need a packed lunch and to come to school dressed appropriately for a day playing rugby outside. A detailed information sheet is included in their bags today.
Edinburgh Residential.
The pupils in years 5 & 6 are getting excited about their residential visit to Edinburgh starting on Monday 1st July. A copy of your child’s current medical form is included in the bag today for you to check. Please return it on Monday whether or not there are any amendments.
Garden Club will not run next Wednesday 19th June, it will be on Wednesday 26th June, but not on Wednesday 3rd July.
PTA NEWS
Please see attached sheet. The Summer Fair is next Friday 21st June 3:30-5:30pm, there will be no Praise Assembly that day to allow PTA to set up for the fair.
