Welcome Back! 

Happy New Year to you all.  Thank you very much for all your lovely cards and gifts at Christmas, they were very much appreciated.

Junior After-School Fitness Club

The club will finish at 4:30pm again on Monday 14^th January, we will let you know when it changes back to 5pm.

PTA Meeting

There will be a PTA meeting on Tuesday 15th January at 2:30pm in school, to plan the race night and other events for the spring term. All welcome!

Year 2 Multi-sports

Four pupils from year 2 are going to Caton Sports Hall on Wednesday 16^th January to join other children from Lune Valley Schools in an afternoon of indoor sporting activities.  An information sheet is included in the four children’s Friday bag.

Swimming

Junior swimming restarts for children in years 3, 4 & 5 on Thursday 17^th January, please help your child to remember their kit.

Dinner Money

Please can we remind parents to try and keep up to date with dinner money. The cost remains at £2.30 per day,  £11.50 per week; there are six weeks in this half term so the total cost to Friday 15^th February is £69 which can be paid onto the online system in advance.  Included in the bag today are dinner money bills for families who prefer to pay by either cash or cheque.

Height and Weight Checks

Children in year 6 and reception will be taking part in this year’s national measurement programme.  If you are happy for your child to take part, you do not need to do anything.  If you do not wish your child to be involved please contact the School Nurse direct, using the details at the top of the letter included in their Friday bag today.

Christmas Play DVDs

Dave Collins very kindly recorded the Christmas performances again for us.  If you would like a copy of the DVD please complete the slip at the end of the newsletter and return it with payment of £5 per DVD.   If you wish to pay by cheque  please make it payable to Hornby St Margaret’s PTA.
