Next week is SATS week for year 6 children.  Please encourage your child not to worry about these.  They do need to be at school to try their best and that is always good enough.

The Big Lunch

The Lune Valley Cluster of schools are thrilled to be a part of this year’s Big Walk run by the Eden Project. They are hosting a ‘Big Lunch’ for all the walkers at Brookhouse Methodist Church at 12 noon Wednesday 16th May and a couple of  pupils from each cluster school have been invited to join the lunch. The children will get to meet the walkers, hear their stories and be part of their adventure as they set off on the first day of their walk.  Information sheets are included in the Friday bag for the two year 5 pupils going.

Whole School Photo

The School Photographer will be visiting school on Thursday 17^th May to take a group photograph. We will display the copy once we receive it and let you know how to order.

Royal Wedding Picnic Lunch

We are hoping for good weather next Thursday 17^th May, so the children can enjoy their picnic outside!  Staff are also planning an activity afternoon linked to this and would be grateful if parents could send in old newspapers please.

Cricket Tournament

A group of 8 year 5 and 6 pupils have been invited to take part in a Cricket Tournament at Over Kellet School next Friday 18^th May.  An information sheet is included in the Friday bag today for the children taking part.  The tournament is only in the morning, so they will be back in time for lunch.

PTA News

The PTA meeting planned for this Friday has been re-scheduled to next Thursday 17^th May, at 2:30pm in school. We will be planning the summer fair and would appreciate your input and ideas. We look forward to seeing you then. If you are unable to come to the meeting but can help out with the summer fair in some way, please let one of the committee members know or leave a message on our Facebook page.
