Macmillan Coffee Morning. The PTA have hosted another fantastic Coffee Morning today in aid of such a worthy cause. There was a great turnout as usual, we will let you know how much was made next week.
Forms, Forms. Thank you to everyone who has completed all the forms sent out a couple of weeks ago. A couple of families still need to send them back, please do so, as it is really important that we have up-to-date information on all the children in school.
Infant Forest School Visit – Monday 1st October. All the infant children are off for their first Forest School Adventure of this year on Monday! They will visit the wooded area at Leck School and engage in activities with the Infant Children from Leck. A detailed information sheet is included in their Friday bag today. Please note that they all need a packed lunch with drink, all disposable items in a named carrier bag (No lunchboxes or water bottles).
Junior Cross Country – Monday 1st October. A group of junior children are going to Tatham Fells School on Monday afternoon to take part in a cross country race with pupils from other Lune Valley Schools. An information sheet is included in the Friday bag for the children involved.
Reception Parents Meeting. Mrs Hamlett is looking forward to meeting the new reception children’s parents on Tuesday 2nd October at 4:30pm.
Reception Children. Please can everyone in reception bring an empty yoghurt pot for Thursday next week.
Parent Meetings – Tuesday 9th October. Teaching staff will be in school from 3:30 to
7:30pm on Tuesday 9th October, during this time there will be an opportunity for you to come and look at your children’s work and talk informally with teachers Should you require a 5 minute 1:1 appointment please indicate on the slip at the end of the newsletter your preferred time slot.
Year 5 & 6 Residential. Thank you to all the parents who have returned the slip regarding the Edinburgh residential. If you have not replied yet, please do so as soon as possible, so we can start to make the necessary arrangements. If the trip raises any issues for you, please do come and talk to Mr Stafford-Roberts.
School Photographs. All the children had their photographs taken last Friday; the proofs are included in the bag this week. Orders can be placed online by visiting www.picturemailorder.co.uk and using the username and password on your proof. You can order through school if this suits you better, but you will need to pay cash with the order not cheques. All orders either placed online or through school need to be received by Friday 12th October at the latest.
