29th June

Arnside Residential Visit – Monday 2nd to Wednesday 4th July

The junior children are looking forward to their trip starting on Monday.  Please ensure they are in school by 9am, with their bag and packed lunch.  They will be back for the normal end of day on Wednesday, let’s hope they all have a great time!

Infant Visit to Leighton Moss

All the infant children are having a day at Leighton Moss on Tuesday 3rd July.  They will be leaving school soon after 9am, so it would good if the children could arrive by 8:50am please.  They will all need a packed lunch and plenty to drink in a backpack that they can carry themselves.  Please dress them appropriately for the weather; they will need to have a school top on so they can be easily identified.

Early Morning Club

Miss Race will be running Early Morning Club Monday to Wednesday next week so it will be in the Infant Class Room, enter by Infant door please.

Ukulele Lessons

Mrs Barker’s ukulele lessons have finished now and will restart in the Autumn Term.

New Starter Visits

The new reception children will be visiting school again on Monday morning, ready to start full time in September.

Year 6 Leavers Do – Tuesday 10th July

Thank you to everyone for returning the slips for the Leavers Do!  PTA have very kindly agreed to fund the event, so any payments sent in are being returned in the Friday bag today.  We really hope you all have a good time.

Parental Questionnaire

At the Governor meeting earlier this week, we discussed the information from the questionnaires you filled in earlier in the year.  Governors would like to thank all the parents who completed one and are pleased to report that the feedback was very positive.  Should any parents be unsure of how school operates, all our policies are available on the school website for you to view.

End of Year Services

All parents, grandparents and friends are invited to join us for our End of Year Service on Thursday 19th July at 9am; where we will be celebrating another wonderful year in school and saying Goodbye to the year 6 pupils.

The Student Council have also organised a Talent Show again, which will take place on Friday 6th at 2:30pm; everyone is very welcome to join us for this too.

PTA Family Bingo Night – Friday 6th July at 6:30pm

Everyone welcome. £1 per book of ten games, full books with six entries per game £6 or any amount in between depending on the age and ability of the children. (It will make sense when you get there I promise, if not grab me on the playground beforehand!) There will be small prizes for a line and larger prizes for a house in each game – so twenty prizes up for grabs! Tea, coffee & squash will be provided at the interval, but if you would like to bring something stronger to consume you are more than welcome!  There will also be a small tuck shop selling a limited range of sweets, crisps etc. We look forward to seeing you there!
