On July 8th, we welcomed Chris from Cross Apiary into our school orchard to tell us all about bees. We had a fantastic time learning about the different roles the bees have and how they help create a successful hive. We saw the Queen bee along with the workers (females) and drones (males); they were all very busy! We learnt about how honey is made and the different types of bees living in the UK. We hope to welcome Chris back soon.
