PTA Family Quiz night <\/strong>TODAY!!<\/strong><\/p>\n

6pm tonight in the School Hall is Family Quiz night. There is a children\u2019s quiz and an adult quiz with some super prizes and hampers for the winners!! Food and drink is also available throughout the night with savoury snacks, pizzas and tuck shop.<\/p>\n

Pre-loved Uniform Sale<\/strong>\u00a0TODAY!!<\/strong><\/p>\n

We are having a pre-loved uniform sale after school TODAY<\/strong> in the school hall, this is a great way to get some nearly new uniform at a fraction of the cost of new! All money raised will help to raise valuable funds for our School. Suggested \u00a31.00 per item.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Art<\/strong> and DT<\/strong><\/p>\n

Please can\u00a0ALL JUNIORS<\/strong>\u00a0bring an old over-sized T-Shirt or shirt to use and keep in school permanently for art and DT sessions. Over the next couple of weeks, the juniors will be working with clay. It needs to fit over their school uniform so must be baggy, we are just trying to protect school uniform!<\/p>\n

Infant reading volunteers<\/strong><\/p>\n

As a school, we are committed to helping children develop their reading skills and frequent practise really helps with this. We are looking for reading volunteers to come and listen to our Infants read, any day after 2pm<\/u> would be wonderful! Please get in touch if you can help \ud83d\ude0a<\/p>\n

Infants Outdoor Education Day\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

All our infant children will be taking part in an outdoor education day at\u00a0Borwick Hall Education Centre<\/strong>\u00a0on\u00a0Monday 16th<\/sup>\u00a0October<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 please see info sheet for further details. Please note that the children won\u2019t return back to School until approx. 4.15pm.<\/p>\n

Lunchtime Clubs<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mr Stafford-Roberts started a\u00a0First Aid<\/strong>\u00a0club with upper juniors at lunchtime on Monday and was very pleased with how the first session went and how engaged the children were. Children will follow a programme for the next six weeks at lunchtime, to learn the basics of how to give first aid, should the need arise \u2013 which I am sure you will all agree is a brilliant life skill to have!<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Animal Club<\/strong> was a HIT!! It was so lovely to see the children being so enthusiastic and hands on with the hens \ud83d\ude0a they asked lots of questions and were really keen to hold them, they were also brilliant at looking after them throughout the day making sure they had food and water while out in the garden area.<\/p>\n

Year 5 & 6 Residential\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Parents of children in Year 5 & 6 should have received a letter about the upcoming residential trip to Edinburgh.\u00a0 Please complete the form on the back of the letter and return with your deposit as soon as possible.\u00a0 We appreciate that the trip may seem a while away but we need to confirm numbers and begin payment plans soon.<\/p>\n

Harvest Appeal<\/strong><\/p>\n

Thankyou for all your food donations, we delivered them to Kirkby Lonsdale Community Cupboard yesterday who were very grateful \ud83d\ude0aThe Community Cupboard exists to help those in Kirkby Lonsdale and our area who are experiencing the negative effects of rising living costs. We understand that food poverty affects people in different ways, including those looking for work, in full time work, with extra mouths to feed, facing legal costs, or a variety of different reasons.
