We made it to Friday!! We hope you all have a lovely half term next week, we re-open on Monday 27th<\/sup> February. We are looking forward to hearing what you\u2019ve got up to over the half term break. Below is some information about what is happening in School in the first week after Half term.<\/p>\n

Dance ASC <\/strong><\/p>\n

We have Dance ASC starting on Monday 27th<\/sup> February<\/em><\/strong> after the half term break, sessions will run from 3.30pm \u2013 4.30pm for 5 weeks. There will be NO CHARGE<\/u> for this club. Please let Hannah in the office know before half term if your child would like a place.<\/p>\n

Upper Junior Climbing Day<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our year 5 & 6 children will be experiencing an introduction to climbing on Tuesday 28th<\/sup> February<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 These sessions will be led by an experienced instructor from Tower Wood Outdoor Centre, along with Mr Stafford-Roberts and will take place at a venue chosen by the instructor.\u00a0\u00a0 There is no charge for these sessions, school will be funding the full cost.\u00a0 Children will need a packed lunch on the day, please see information sheets attached.<\/p>\n

World Book Day<\/strong><\/p>\n

After the half term break we will celebrate World Book Day in school on Friday 3rd<\/sup> March<\/em>.\u00a0 <\/strong>The children can bring in their favourite book and if they want to, they can dress up as a book character too! We will have a time during the day when Infant and Juniors can look at their favourite books together, there is also a special lunch available on Thursday 2nd<\/sup> March to celebrate World Book Day too \ud83d\ude0a<\/p>\n

In the Friday bags this week you will find a book token, The Book Lounge in Kirkby Lonsdale is accepting the World Book Day vouchers and have a range of the \u00a31 books available.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Regional Strike Day\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013\u00a0Tuesday 28th<\/sup>\u00a0February<\/strong><\/p>\n

School will be open as normal on Tuesday 28th<\/sup>\u00a0February. We will keep parents \/ carers informed of the decision regarding the other planned strike days (15th<\/sup>\u00a0\/ 16th<\/sup>\u00a0March) as we move forward. \u00a0<\/p>\n

REMINDER: Proposal to Federate\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

All parents \/ carers should have received an email detailing the Schools proposal to federate with Hornby St Margaret\u2019s. If you have any comments or questions, please complete the feedback questionnaire before 27th<\/sup>\u00a0February when the consultation period closes. Thank you.<\/p>\n
