Its been a quieter week in School after the Infants went to Wildlife Oasis and the Juniors went to Blackburn Museum last week! This week we had a really informative and enjoyable day on Tuesday with the Life Education team, the children had a great time meeting Harold the giraffe and Katy, the life education teachers, they learnt all about having a healthy body and about different feelings we might have.\u00a0<\/p>\n

PE Kits<\/strong><\/p>\n Please can you ensure that your child has a PE kit in School. The kit should contain white t-shirt, dark coloured shorts, trainers for outdoor sessions and pumps for indoor sessions.<\/p>\n PE days are<\/p>\n Infants \u2013 Thursdays and Fridays<\/p>\n Juniors \u2013 Wednesdays<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n World Book Day<\/strong><\/p>\n After the half term break we will celebrate World Book Day in school on Friday 3rd<\/sup> March.\u00a0 <\/strong>The children can bring in their favourite book and if they want to, they can dress up as a book character too! We will have a time during the day when Infant and Juniors can look at their favourite books together, there is also a special lunch available on Thursday 2nd<\/sup> March to celebrate World Book Day too \ud83d\ude0a<\/p>\n In the Friday bags this week you will find a book token, The Book Lounge in Kirkby Lonsdale is accepting the World Book Day vouchers and have a range of the \u00a31 books available.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n PTA update<\/strong><\/p>\n The Annual General Meeting of the PTA was held on Thursday 9th<\/sup>\u00a0February. Michelle Norris informed the meeting that she was resigning as Chairperson, and we would like to thank Michelle for her invaluable contribution over the years. This paved the way for a new Chair, and Rachel Edmonds was duly appointed. The vacant positions of Vice-Chair, Secretary and Treasurer were also filled by Lucy Raby, Katrina Lunn and Steph Shepherd respectively. The newly formed committee met after the AGM and we will shortly be in touch to outline some of the planned activities and what you can expect from the PTA.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Dance ASC <\/strong><\/p>\n We have Dance ASC starting on Monday 27th<\/sup> February after the half term break, sessions will run from 3.30pm \u2013 4.30pm for 5 weeks.
