Infant Trip \u2013 Wildlife Oasis
We are really excited to be taking the Infants to Wildlife Oasis
near Milnthorpe on Tuesday 24th January where we will be
taking part in a workshop and having a guided tour of the
zoo. The children will be provided with a packed lunch for a picnic.
The cost of the trip will be \u00a35.00 and this can be paid on School Money.<\/p>\n
Junior Trip \u2013 Blackburn museum
We are going to take the Juniors to Blackburn museum on Friday 3rd February, where our pupils will get
the opportunity to find out all about Ancient Egypt by talking to a real Egyptologist! The children will use
objects from the collection, both those on display in the Ancient Egypt room and in a handling session, to
find out what objects from Ancient Egypt can tell us about the lives of the people who used them. They will also take part in a craft activity.
The cost of the trip will be \u00a310.00 and this can be paid on School Money.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, due to the rising cost of transport and admissions, we are having to charge parents for
these educational trips. Please be assured that we try and keep the cost as low as possible and subsidise as much as we can from school funds.<\/p>\n
PTA Disco
Thank you to everyone who has bought tickets for the PTA disco next Thursday
26th Jan 4:30 – 6:00pm. Children will be provided with a sausage in a bun and
unlimited squash and there will also be a tuck shop selling cakes and sweets if
children would like to buy some extra treats.
A reminder that parents of infant children are requested to stay with their
children but parents of junior children may drop them off and collect them at the
end. If you have any questions, please see Hannah in the office.<\/p>\n
Proposal to Federate
You should have all received an email on Monday detailing the Schools proposal to Federate with Leck. If
you require a printed copy please let us know. If you have any comments or questions, please spare a few
minutes to complete the feedback questionnaire (link sent in the email) before 27th February.<\/p>\n
Library day – Monday
Please remind your child to return their reading book so they can swap it for another one.<\/p>\n
Dance ASC
We have Dance ASC starting on Monday 27th February after the half term break, sessions will run from
3.30pm \u2013 4.30pm for 5 weeks. There will be NO CHARGE for this club. Please let Hannah in the office know if your child would like a place.
Garden Gang Update
It’s been a bit too cold and miserable to even think about gardening over the past few months but we’ve not
stopped thinking\/plotting and planning for the Spring and Summer ahead…
But before we can start anew for 2023, we need to finish the construction of our new raised beds!
We have cut the beautiful oak beams to size and have purchased some very long timber
drive screws for the job, but we’re now stuck without the right tools (or real knowhow) to
go any further.
If anyone knows of someone who may be able to give us a morning to construct the beds,
please contact Hannah in the office.
