Welcome back to a new year! We hope that you had a happy Christmas and holiday period. Thank you for all the gifts sent in to staff. They were much appreciated.<\/em><\/p>\n

A slightly shorter newsletter this week with some dates for your diaries for this Spring term.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Monday – Young Leader Awards Day 1\u2013 Upper Juniors \u2013 PE KIT NEEDED<\/strong><\/p>\n

These sessions will take place over two days and will help our Upper Juniors develop leadership skills such as organisation, communication and teamwork, as well as helping to build confidence and self-esteem as they take on responsibility of leading their peers and younger children in small games and activities.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Tuesday – Rugby After School Club <\/strong><\/p>\n

Scott will continue with the rugby sessions, these will be on a Tuesday with the first session on 10th<\/sup> January 3.30pm. If you would like your child to attend, please let Hannah know.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

PE Days this term<\/strong><\/p>\n

Infants<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 Thursdays and Fridays \u2013 Indoor and outdoor PE kit \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 (Weather dependant as to whether we go outside)<\/p>\n

Juniors<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 Wednesdays \u2013 Dance \u2013 Indoor PE kit including indoor footwear e.g. pumps\/clean trainers.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Thursdays \u2013 Swimming \u2013 Year groups 3, 4 and 5.<\/p>\n

Juniors – Pringles tube<\/strong><\/p>\n

Please could your child bring an empty Pringles tube into school by Monday 23rd<\/sup> January so we can make some Canopic jars in our DT\/History lesson. Any spare tubes will be gratefully received \ud83d\ude0a<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

PTA Disco<\/strong><\/p>\n

The PTA would like to invite all children to a disco in school on Thursday 26th Jan 4:30 – 6:00pm.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tickets will cost \u00a32 per child which includes a sausage in a bun and unlimited squash. There will also be a tuck shop if children would like to buy some extra treats. We would request that parents of infant children stay with their children but parents of junior children may drop them off and collect them at the end. If your child would like to attend, please send \u00a32 cash into school in a named envelope with details of any dietary requirements we should be aware of.\u00a0<\/p>\n

School Uniform<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you are needing some more uniform, please come and have a look in our preloved uniform boxes in the porch, there is some excellent quality items available in all different sizes which just require a donation to the PTA. If you would prefer to buy new, please visit www.ualonline.co.uk<\/a> and click on the Lancaster shop to find our school page.<\/p>\n

Malham Residential<\/strong><\/p>\n

Instalment 2 is set up on School Money and can be paid anytime between now and 28th<\/sup> February.<\/p>\n

Half Term\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

Please note that February half term is a week after many of the other schools in Lancashire this year, we are closed from Monday 20th<\/sup> \u2013 Friday 24th<\/sup> February.<\/p>\n
