Infant Forest School day <\/strong><\/p>\n

The infants had a great day on\u00a0Tuesday<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>with a visit to the wooded area at Leck where they read a story, made sun catchers out of leaves and animals out of pine cones.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Junior North America Day<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Wednesday, the Juniors will be participating in a range of activities with a North American theme. Including a \u2018show and tell\u2019 and food tasting. \u00a0If the children would like to bring anything about North America into school to show the class or have something interesting to tell us about North America then we would love to see\/hear it. We will also be tasting a variety of food from America including Mexican, Caribbean and American foods (please let us know of any allergies that we may not be aware of)<\/p>\n

Christmas Performance Costumes<\/strong><\/p>\n

Infant parents should have received an e-mail earlier this week with details of what we would like your child to wear for the Christmas Performance, Junior children were each sent home with a slip earlier in the week. If you have not received these please get in touch.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

School Shoes Reminder <\/strong>We would like children to arrive in school shoes which they will wear all day in class and bring a change of shoes\/trainers\/wellies which they can leave at school for break and lunch times to prevent the classrooms getting muddy especially over the winter period.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Robin Hood pantomime <\/strong><\/p>\n

We are having a whole school trip to The Dukes theatre at Lancaster to watch the Robin Hood pantomime at 1.30pm on Wednesday 14th<\/sup> December. We will be back to school at approximately 4pm.<\/p>\n

The cost of this trip will be \u00a35<\/strong>, please pay cash or cheque (made payable to Hornby Church of England Primary school) to Hannah in the office. \u00a0This payment will not<\/u> be set up on School money.<\/p>\n

Malham Residential<\/strong><\/p>\n

Please see Malham Residential letter attached to this email, at this stage we are asking you to return the attached slip to show your interest and to pay the \u00a320 deposit on School Money, we really hope you can come \ud83d\ude0a<\/p>\n

Remembrance Day<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Year 6 children observed a 2-minute silence at the War Memorial today with members of the local community. Maisie and Noah also read their Remembrance poems that they had written earlier in the week about World War I.<\/p>\n
