Today is the last day of this half-term, tomorrow is a teacher day. We have had a busy half-term and we continue to appreciate parent\u2019s support.<\/p>\n

We hope everyone has a lovely half-term break and that we can all come back to school on 31st<\/sup> October<\/em><\/strong> ready for the run up to Christmas, which is always lovely in school.<\/p>\n

Sadly, we will be saying goodbye to Mrs Cook today as she moves on to work for a local charity. We wish her lots of luck in her new job.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

The PTA will be selling cakes at 3.30pm to celebrate the end of term.<\/p>\n

Rugby After School club \u2013 starts Wednesday 9th<\/sup> November<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kirkby Lonsdale Rugby Club will be running an after-school club 3.30pm \u2013 4.30pm for Year 2 \u2013 Year 6 starting Wednesday 9th<\/sup> November.<\/p>\n

Please put your child\u2019s name down with Hannah in the office if you would like them to attend, these sessions are FREE<\/u> as they will be paid for by the school PE premium.<\/p>\n

Robin Hood pantomime <\/strong><\/p>\n

We are having a whole school trip to The Dukes theatre at Lancaster to watch the Robin Hood pantomime at 1.30pm on Wednesday 14th<\/sup> December. The cost of this trip will be \u00a35, please pay cash or cheque to Hannah in the office. This payment will not<\/u> be set up on School money.<\/p>\n

Mad Science After School Club<\/strong> – CANCELLED I’m afraid we are going to have to cancel the Mad Science club at Hornby St Margaret’s School due to low sign-up, Mad Science will process your refund and it will be back in your bank account in 5-10 days.<\/p>\n

Boxes of Hope. <\/strong>We are supporting the Boxes of Hope Charity again this year; a leaflet about this shoebox charity is included in the bag today.\u00a0 It is a local charity that visits Romania each year to distribute the gift-filled boxes to children.\u00a0 Please read the leaflet for further details and ideas for what to include.\u00a0 The boxes will be collected from school early in November, so please aim to have them here by Monday 31st<\/sup> October<\/em><\/strong>, remembering to include the \u00a32 donation.\u00a0 Thank you.<\/p>\n

Lancashire County Councils online application system is now open for applications for 2023;<\/p>\n

If you live in either North Yorkshire or Cumbria, you will need to apply for secondary or primary school places via their website.<\/p>\n
