Infants<\/strong><\/p>\n We have had a brilliant week of ‘Experiences’ in Infants this week. On Monday, we went for a visit to Leck School to see our friends there and take part in the Creepy Crawly Roadshow. Tracy helped us to handle and learn lots of things about spiders, millipedes, snakes, land snails and butterflies. We had a super time and were all very good at handling the different animals carefully and asking lots of questions. On Wednesday morning, we worked in our house groups to create crowns, Jubilee crafts and decorated biscuits for our celebration on Thursday. Thank you Lucy, for providing all the biscuits and decorating items. We all had a great time on Thursday afternoon celebrating the Platinum Jubilee.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n Infant Stars of the week: <\/strong>Eric<\/em><\/p>\n<\/td>\n Great writing for his Mary Anning diary and asking super questions at the Creepy Crawly roadshow\u00a0<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n Certificate: <\/strong>Sophie<\/em><\/p>\n<\/td>\n Super counting and matching dinosaurs to numbers 1-10\u00a0<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n Juniors<\/strong><\/p>\n Lower – Year 3\/4<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n A great week has been had by all!\u00a0 Jubilee Celebrations, Young Voices, crafts, singing and signing and a whole school hokey cokey!\u00a0 We have been writing a letter to the MP David Morris to ask about what we are doing in Morecambe and Lancaster and the surrounding areas to lower our impact on the planet with a specific focus on plastic pollution.\u00a0 We have done lots of research and have got lots of solutions!\u00a0 The children have some excellent observations and ideas.\u00a0 Did you know that the sea is full of tiny organisms called phytoplankton and they absorb carbon dioxide and help give out around half of the oxygen that we need to breathe?\u00a0 The children have suggested that we have more bin collections, recycling bins in the towns and cities, fines for people who drop litter and work towards shops using less plastic, especially take away shops.\u00a0 Everything we can do to stop more plastic ending up in our oceans the better.\u00a0 I am sure you will agree the children are all very thoughtful and it is inspiring hearing their ideas.\u00a0 Have a smashing week off and see you on the 7th<\/sup>\u00a0rested and ready for our super trip to Lancaster University.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Upper \u2013 Year 5\/6<\/strong> \u00a0<\/p>\n Wow!
