30th<\/sup> April 2021<\/strong><\/p>\n Hello Everyone<\/strong>.<\/p>\n We have had another good week in school with high attendance and the children getting on with their learning.\u00a0 Please do send children with appropriate clothing; we have turned the heating off and have the windows open for ventilation, so it has been quite cold in school this week.<\/p>\n Apologies for the incorrect date last week, we do have a half-term holiday!\u00a0 We return to school on Monday 7th<\/sup> June<\/em><\/strong> after a week off.<\/p>\n Upper junior children are looking forward to their day in the outdoors, climbing at Hutton Roof on Monday 10th<\/sup> May<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 A detailed information sheet will be sent next Friday; the main things they will need are a packed lunch in a rucksack and layers of warm clothing.\u00a0 The day will be led by Instructors from Tower Wood Outdoor Centre, along with Mr Stafford-Roberts and Miss Yost.<\/p>\n We were all saddened to hear the news of the death of Liz Allison on Wednesday this week.\u00a0 She was a loyal supporter of school over many years, coming in on a weekly basis to run the library and lead assemblies.\u00a0 The Governing Body benefitted from her advice and experience over a number of years too.\u00a0 Many of the children will remember her and probably many parents too.\u00a0 Our thoughts are with her family and all her many friends at this sad time.<\/p>\n Let\u2019s hope the sun shines this weekend and we can all enjoy the bank holiday.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Dates so far for this term: –<\/strong><\/p>\n Monday 3rd<\/sup> May \u2013 May Day Bank Holiday<\/p>\n Monday 10th<\/sup> May \u2013 Upper Junior Climbing Day<\/p>\n Thursday 13th<\/sup> May \u2013 Life Education Visit<\/p>\n Wednesday 19th<\/sup> May \u2013 Infant Forest School Day at Leck Woods<\/p>\n Monday 24th<\/sup> May \u2013 Junior Tower Wood Day<\/p>\n Friday 28th<\/sup> May \u2013 Last Day this half term<\/p>\n Monday 7th<\/sup> June \u2013 Back to school for next half term<\/p>\n Thursday 1st<\/sup> July \u2013 Infant Borwick Hall Day.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" \u00a0 30th April 2021 Hello Everyone.
