Happy New Year to you all.\u00a0 Thank you very much for all your lovely cards and gifts at Christmas, they were very much appreciated.<\/p>\n

Junior After-School Fitness Club<\/strong><\/p>\n

The club will finish at 4:30pm<\/em><\/strong> again on Monday 14th<\/sup> January<\/em><\/strong>, we will let you know when it changes back to 5pm.<\/p>\n

PTA Meeting<\/strong><\/p>\n

There will be a PTA meeting on Tuesday 15th January<\/em><\/strong> at 2:30pm<\/em><\/strong> in school, to plan the race night and other events for the spring term. All welcome!<\/p>\n

Year 2 Multi-sports<\/strong><\/p>\n

Four pupils from year 2 are going to Caton Sports Hall on Wednesday 16th<\/sup> January<\/em><\/strong> to join other children from Lune Valley Schools in an afternoon of indoor sporting activities.\u00a0 An information sheet is included in the four children\u2019s Friday bag.<\/p>\n

Swimming<\/strong><\/p>\n

Junior swimming restarts for children in years 3, 4 & 5 on Thursday 17th<\/sup> January<\/em><\/strong>, please help your child to remember their kit.<\/p>\n

Dinner Money<\/strong><\/p>\n

Please can we remind parents to try and keep up to date with dinner money. The cost remains at \u00a32.30 per day,\u00a0 \u00a311.50 per week; there are six weeks in this half term so the total cost to Friday 15th<\/sup> February is \u00a369 which can be paid onto the online system in advance.\u00a0 Included in the bag today are dinner money bills for families who prefer to pay by either cash or cheque.<\/p>\n

Height and Weight Checks<\/strong><\/p>\n

Children in year 6 and reception will be taking part in this year\u2019s national measurement programme.\u00a0 If you are happy for your child to take part, you do not need to do anything.\u00a0 If you do not <\/em><\/strong>wish your child to be involved please contact the School Nurse direct, using the details at the top of the letter included in their Friday bag today.<\/p>\n

Christmas Play DVDs<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dave Collins very kindly recorded the Christmas performances again for us.\u00a0 If you would like a copy of the DVD please complete the slip at the end of the newsletter and return it with payment of \u00a35 per DVD.\u00a0\u00a0 If you wish to pay by cheque\u00a0 please make it payable to Hornby St Margaret\u2019s PTA.<\/p>\n
