{"id":2691,"date":"2018-12-14T14:18:42","date_gmt":"2018-12-14T14:18:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.hornby.lancs.sch.uk\/?p=2691"},"modified":"2018-12-14T14:18:42","modified_gmt":"2018-12-14T14:18:42","slug":"14th-december","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.hornby.lancs.sch.uk\/index.php\/2018\/12\/14\/14th-december\/","title":{"rendered":"14th December"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>The last newsletter this term!<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>All the staff wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Thank you for your continued support.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Jamie Norris is moving to The Loyne School in Lancaster after Christmas, we will all be sad to see him go and wish him the very best.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Christmas Performances \u2013 Tuesday 18<sup>th<\/sup> December.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The children are all really looking forward to performing for you next <strong><em>Tuesday 18<sup>th<\/sup> December<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 All ticket requests have been met this year, you will find the tickets in your Friday Bag.\u00a0 We will be performing at 9:30am and 6pm.\u00a0 Please could all the children be back in school for <strong><em>5:40pm<\/em><\/strong> to get changed ready for the evening performance at <strong><em>6pm<\/em><\/strong>. There will be a collection at the end of each performance for St John\u2019s Hospice.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Christmas Activity Day \u2013 Wednesday 19<sup>th<\/sup> December.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The School Council invite everyone to come to school in their Christmas Jumper on <strong><em>Wednesday 19<sup>th<\/sup> December<\/em><\/strong>, when staff will be organising an Activity Day.\u00a0 The School Council have chosen \u2018Leisure for Autism\u2019 as their chosen charity this year and would like pupils to donate \u00a31 for the privilege of coming to school in their Christmas Jumper.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Panto Visit \u2013 Thursday 20<sup>th<\/sup> December.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The whole school will be going to the The Dukes in Lancaster on <strong><em>Thursday 20<sup>th<\/sup> December<\/em><\/strong> to see Peter Pan.\u00a0 Cookie will be preparing party food for lunch when we return, if your child doesn\u2019t normally have dinner on a Thursday but would like to join, please just pop a note in the Friday bag. An information sheet giving more details about the trip to The Dukes is included in all Friday Bags today.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Carol Service \u2013 Friday 21<sup>st<\/sup> December.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Everyone is welcome to join us at <strong><em>2:30pm<\/em><\/strong> in St Margaret\u2019s Church for the Carol Service; this will be a lovely way to break up for Christmas.
